I think you raise a good point.
There is little point in fitting air assistors, if the main springs that are just passed it!..
(after all, they are spring "assistors" not spring "retrievers" )
Having said that, I wouldn't mind betting that the majority of coachbuilt MHs are sitting close to, if not over, their max weight, for the majority of the time?..so no matter how good a roadspring is, it is never getting any time to *"recover/rest".
(*'no idea if that is an actual thing or not but it just seems to make sense to me )
