I used to have a LPG dual fuel car - got one of the last grants in Scotland which saved me £600. Ok on the mainland but no LPG on island. This is where I slightly disagree with FionaW - there have been several attempts both on Mull and more remote areas where people running filling stations wanted to put in LPG but H&S rules have scuppered it.
Didn't know about the implication of H&S rules, thanks for that explanation Ficklejade.
The office pool cars used to be (retrofit) dual fuel but everyone ran them on petrol because they were so slow on hills & lumpy on LPG. And cursed them because the boot was largely filled with the LPG tank, leaving less room for all the kit for a site visit to do survey work.
