Paul, Mileage per gallon is not something we have ever calculated. I just asked and the answer was....No idea! I just fill her up.
My thoughts, are after asking what our average speed would be on any journey using single carriageway, dual, and motorway mileage for any long journey and was told around 55 MPH. Again, nothing came forward as to what mileage/galls. It was added that it costs more than it should to feed her!
I suppose once you have loaded all the stuff you will never use, and then decide to remove it. Better mileage can be had. So many people load so much stuff. I have nothing against awnings, but people put them up and never use them. We only take ours if we are fishing, as a place to store our stuff. We have a roll out that gives sun cover and we put the chairs and table under to eat outside. I think I will set myself a 'must do', and check our fuel costs.
Chairs , awnings, BBq's, Clothing, food, etc, all should be weighed. Then where to put all this stuff?. You should use a weigh bridge to be honest. Both axles. Then load the van with the 'stuff' in the best area for it.
Previously being a 'Tugger' you will notice a noise that all this stuff can create. Noise that you never heard within the caravan whilst travelling. I remember back in 2008 when we bought our first MoHo, we both got very excited, take care to not buy anything that you will not use. Take her out for a weekend somewhere local, just to sort yourselves out and asses what you may need.
Local, well I see you fish, that's why I said "see you on the bank". You could try this site. Dog Lane Fishery at Napton on the Hill. Look the place up on UK campsite at the top of this page. It is convenient to you, and has everything you could want for a weekend away to get used to the van.
Not much use at MPG am I?

Cheers AUSTINS, And thanks for info. Dogg lane fishery has been one of our favorite venues for many years when we had caravan, and will continue now that we are MoHo owners. i really enjoy the fishing and convenience of the site. We can remember way back when site was only 5 pitch and Josh's Dad would cram at least 10 in. Happy days, had some really nice times there. We intend to store MoHo at R.M.Eglins site because he has got a carp pool onsite stocked with Commons and mirrors up to 32lb. Been smashed up many times!,

Best regards Paul.

Oh, and like the idea of flying the Union Jack. Very patriotic, on your profile pic. And on a different note, are you aware of the advantages of pheromones in your Carp bait?. My friend used to fish with Matt Hayes some time back he gave my mate a tip, and it works really well, if you have a strong constitution. Don't want to blurt it out on hear tho?. You have helped us, so least i can do in return.

Cheers
Paul.

Paul....I know all about Pheromones. Especially female ones.
Bramcote Mains eh? I know the place well, never stayed there. I used to be an agricultural sales rep.
Will be giving it a try now though, maybe sometime soon.
Take a look tonight or soon on Dog Lane, they have just re stocked the 2 specimen lakes. Pictures up on there site tonight. Josh is putting the fish in the lake. Eddie is his granddad, not his dad. It is now all Josh's, and it has a very good café, that delivers to peg.
P.S. You just reminded me to update my profile picture lol. Must find one of the first one now.

AUSTINS....Unfortunately you can't fish pools at Bramcote unless you join the 'Fishing club', and it's not cheap!, save yourself a journey :). David had problems with Eastern Europeans turning up, catching his carp and eating them. He was not amused.

Hi AUSTINS, I knew it was to good to be true. Dealer has just informed me it will take 4 weeks to replace and manufacture a new window that is badly scratched. the company is called EECO that will be manufacturing window. I have looked at their site, and it says only takes 2 weeks max to repair/replace any window. Beginning to smell a rat!.

Did you pay your deposit credit card?
Oh and just a thought, would water have been able to get in any break/cracked window. Take a moisture meter and check out all around the inside of it, IF you think that may have happened. For the price of as much as £15 for the meter you will know if there is any damp around the window.

Hi all, just a quick update, we did eventually buy the Motorhome mentioned previously and are very pleased with it, we have been everywhere since purchase (March 2019), at least 6 camp sites . If I where to be super critical the only down side is that the 2.8 jtd is a bit gutless when it comes to climbing hills, such as Napton area, but other than that we are very happy, just need to go on cheap ins hunt next year, we are with Caravan guard currently.
Take care
Paul.

Hello, glad you did the deed and are a happy bunny.
We have been back from Dog Lane for a week. Plenty of 'good catches' and even more importantly plenty of good company. Will have to look out for the 'Swift' next time we are there. If we had thought about it, we could have asked Josh if he knew you.
One thing you may not know is, Josh's Grandad after a long time being very poorly has died. I think regulars will miss him very much. A grand, not so old, gentleman. Enjoy your summer Paul and Tight Lines.

Hi, yes we are very pleased with Mh, and everything works!. We did trundle to Dog lane last Sunday and parked up at end of field near entrance to Grebe pool but only stayed for short while, (few hours), we did meet Josh, and I was surprised at how much he has shot up, just a very young lad last time we spoke to him, he didn't remember us but it was a long time ago. Yes very sad about Eddie, really nice chap, and gone to soon. We where surprised at transformation of the place tho, very nice, and addition of café is an extra bonus!. Big difference to the 5 pitches that where available many years ago, but Eddie would regularly stretch that to ten, albeit illegally . We did have to drop Mh down to third gear to get up that hill, exercise was more of a rekky mission and pub crawl more than anything else really, we had nice meal at Queens head pub at bottom of hill, and didn't manage to bump any cars in carpark, but we did partly block off the entrance . Catch you soon, take care.

We just worked out how many years ago it was when we used dog lane regularly. It was 16 years ago!!, and we had a Vanroyce two berth caravan, and became very friendly with two other campers who we met regularly, Lizzy and Carol whom we have lost touch with over the years, I think Lizzy had a Bailey approach caravan if memory serves correctly, good times,

Paul.
