We were thinking similar but I like my comfort. After much looking and thinking about what we wanted to use the MH for we decided on a Mobilvetta Kea P65 and hope to take delivery on around 3 weeks. We decided on the model (Kea P65) with 2 singles to the rear with a fill-in making a bed the width of the MH. You could sleep either front to back, with the left hand bed being 194cm length and the right 190cm or sleep across 221cm although the latter would mean partner would need to climb across if needing a wee during the night. The singles also prop-up like a sun bed. Lot's of other funky features like underfloor heating and underfloor compartments as well as a huge garage. Big downside is payload as another poster mentioned.
It also has an electric drop down bed just behind the cab. It was more stylish than the Swifts and Baileys we have seen although I am not convinced of the quality but got it for a good price and I have seen a lot of negative comments re the finish on Swifts. I was also disappointed with the styling on the Swifts and Baileys as they didn't look much different to a caravan we owned in 2012 which was at least 5 years old.
We were considering getting a scooter to go in the back to tour locally from sites but decided on 2 x electric bikes we have found a model from Halfords that if we use the battery only when needed will easily get us a range of 60 miles round trip. We had a test ride yesterday, bleedin' fast. Also tried a foldaway electric but only good for road use and steering felt unsafe on bumpy path, really did not like it.
