I entirely agree about music I am into rock and blues but it only ever gets played through my headphones on site on the site I am on right now the caravan across the road from me had there TV on so I had to put my headphones on to drown it out I am in a trailer tent.
Was at a festival with teenage daughters and a couple of friends, in a folding camper with a couple of small tents. 2 nights running we were treated to the sounds of very noisy coupling from a nearby tent, made for interesting chat at breakfast 😅
Just back from a camp site where the 'resident' (in a seasonal caravan) maintenance man had music playing in his van whilst he was outside doing tasks, it could be heard across the entire 30 pitch site! Think he must have spotted a group of us pointing in his direction, as it suddenly all went quiet. Do these people not think! If he can hear it outside of his van, then so can EVERYONE else!
We were there with a rally group of rescue dogs and owners, you didn't hear our 15 dogs disturbing the site!
As to being 'entertained' by the neighbours, that's not restricted to camping! Stayed in a French hotel with 'paper thin walls', and was duly kept 'informed' of the French neighbours whole repertoire of planned 'activities' and their implementation, now my French is not great, but even I can translate 'now you go on top'!!!!!! .... impressive stamina and versatility if that's not being too indelicate!
On a site in France years ago, a young lady emerged from a tent with 2 young men. It was obvious from their subsequent actions that they were more than friends. Couldn't hear them though, as we were in a caravan.

I don’t like people playing music outside at any time (either at home or on a site). I would never inflict my taste in music on anyone and it bugs me when people inflict theirs on me! That’s what headphones or earbuds are for!
Couldn't agree more. If anyone has their TV/radio on so loud that we can hear it on our pitch, I have gone and asked them to turn it down. Politely. It usually works.
One time in France, in 30 degrees, a French MH parked on the pitch next to us. First thing they did was to turn the TV on, allwindows and both doors open. The noise was terrible, so I went and asked in my best French if they'd turn it down. They slammed the door closed, closed every window and we never heard the TV again that evening😁 next morning they left before 8am👍
