you see i believe that discipline and good manners begin at home and should then be re-enforced at school

I couldn't agree more.

It makes my blood boil when I see some skanky unwashed excuse for a person, in a supermarket, shouting at her child "get here now or I'll batter yer". When I was a child, I would not have dared to move more that two feet from my mothers side when she took me anywhere. I wouldn't raise my voice, I wouldn't argue and I most definately would never say "I want" because the only thing I would get was a severe telling off in a controlled disciplined way, rather than the childish schoolyard type outburst dished out by aforementioned skanky woman. Children are like big dry sponges, they soak up everything around them, and if their parents speak to them like that, then they'll speak to people like that too. Respect, honesty, manners and self-discipline are traits that are all taught, no-one is born with them, therefore if a person posseses none of them they were obviously never taught them. People should be vetted before being allowed to have children, but instead we've got Tony bloody Blair giving incentives to the likes of skanky woman to have even more unruly, rude, undisciplined little terrors that grow up into deceitful thieves who try to rob innocent people via ebay.... Grrrr

Sorry for the elongated rant, but I had to get that off my chest.

Phil
