Propane is best for winter, unless you have LPG, that is regulated by the time of year, as its colder now they change the mixture, We have used the propane in Holland, temp got down to -8 outside, (no electric hook up) but it was warm as toast inside. Most modern MH's are able to be used in the winter.
Did not need any thermals, water bottles or extra blankets, the MH blown air heating ismore than adequate.
Take a fondue and some mulled wine, that will warm you up as well. Might need to wrap up if you tend to sit outside - you will get a few strange looks if you start the BBQ, I know I do in the winter. But you have to eat!!
Calor Gas suppliers are ot allowed to exchange butane bottles for propane, or chage the size, its something to do with terms and conditions, that was another reason I got rid of both and went for LPG
One thing might be worth while, if you have removable carpets, take them up,as it is usally rather muddy this time of year, amkes life easier for cleaning as well
Have fun
