No,you missed a bit of a panic last week, someone got a nasty email and then everyone started saying information could be gathered from all the personal stuff we put on here so I joined in the panic and wiped my profile!!!

Then thinking about it who is going to bother an old bird like me! And a grumpy old bird at the moment too,no I think I am quite safe!

Going to pop some more pictures in when I have two minutes,so keep an eye on it!

Val

I think you are quite right  there Val, thats exactly what happened to me when we picked our Talisman up from Preston, the catches for the windows on both sides were missing, the mattresses from the luton bed will be delivered sometime before Xmas, the key for the soap dispenser was missing and i don't know about this one i hope someone can shed a light on the subject , i was told that new campers now do not come with oven dishes is this right? re. baking tray and roasting tin. At the moment we are dying to get away,we should have been away two weeks ago but due to the postal strike  we have had to postpone our departure date, anyone going to Spain in next week or so please get in touch! right i think i'll have another glass of vino, cheers

There are several things "missing" from our Motorhome wineciccio and I have told them until they find them I don't want it!!

Campers don't normally come with oven dishes, just one rack for the oven but we bought a selection of baking tins/trays so I have no excuse for not being a domestic godess!!

Sorry your having to postpone trips,it's very dissapointing when you are raring to go,is this your first motorhome wineciccio?Once you get going you will have a great time and you sound like us,there is always plenty of wine stored on board!!

Oh Mick,I could do with some lessons from Karen on how not to loose my cool!!!

I am my own worst enemy,Martin always says I don't give them chance to reply,I just wade in there but once I think they are taking the P***,thats it I fly  off the handle!!!

I have negoitated some extras so that is easing the pain but I am sick of the slap dash method of dealing with the customer, but they have you by the short and curlies if you really want the Motorhome, yes we could walk away but then we start the process all over again if I want a 2008 model!!!

Don't think I need to worry too much about being tracked down by the boggy man Brian,I can be pretty ferocious when I put my mind to it!! I can always send in the "boys" if I can't cope!! One look at you in your thong and they will be off!!

Val

Hi Val

You've got every right to loose your rag, this is not loose change your spending is it! Karen says she will have a girlie chat over coffee very soon. What extas have you got?

Going off track a bit but do you have a horse trailer that requires a padded partition? as one of the lads at work has one going very cheap. It's taking me ages to type this morning due to Max sat on my shoulder nibbling my ear & nicking my glasses + trying to whistle dixie at 110db

Mick,

That would be nice,Karen could teach me how to do "calm"! I can do "assertive" I just need to be more in control!!!

I use a horse box (not mine,a friends!) if I hear of anyone in need of one I will shout out,

Got a tracker and a BBQ point, but I would settle for a Motorhome that is compete at the moment!

I just can't believe how they whip bits off one to finish another, meanwhile there are Motorhomes laying around with parts missing!

Going to have a look round this week to see if can find a Bessacar to look at,the 700series looks quite nice and the island bed looks great, saw a Cheyenne 840D but I think the tag axle version is too big for us,my friend got their Cheftain stuck in a small french villlage and upset all the locals!! Besides I think it would probably fall straight through the block paving!

Brian, the thought of your thong keeps me going, everytime I get into a ruck with a Motorhome Dealer/Manufacturer I think of your sparkly thong and that brings me back to earth!!

Going to take some more photos and put them in my gallery, have patience and you will be rewarded!!

Oh whilst I remember do any of you know of a factory on Thornton Road,Bradford by a car wash that will make mats to size? Someone I met said they had taken a template of the Motorhome floor and they had some mats run up and with bound edges and rather than cruise up and down Thornton Road I wondered if you knew of such an eastablishment?

There I go again, spending money on my imaginary new Motorhome, when will I ever learn!!

Val

Hi Val

Don't know if its of interest to you but there is a firm in Barnsley who do the carpet fitting you are thinking of, they are called Kustom Sport  and the phone no is 01226 203347, I have heard very good reports of their work all bound and press stud fixings a rough guide to price is around £200 for a fair size motorhome, including "(I think) a Cab mat too.

No its definetly not my first mh. i started doing it back in 1974 when my kids were young, we have had all sorts of outfits, from a bedford ca, a little fiat, commer, toyota  hi aces three of them , very reilable, bay windows vw.t2  t3 or t25, then three t4, and ultimately just exchanged a t5 trident for the talisman. One day i will put down in writing my experiences with campervans. I almost forgot in between there was a foster and day on a vw.lt. two rapidos, and two autotrail and towed a caravan all the way down to Pompei,in Italy an experience i shall never forget!      As for going away  i'm just waiting for my amended insurance policy ie, change of no.plate details and with any luck i may be able to book a ferry for next monday!

Oh,your an old hand then wineciccio,we are quite new to this Motorhoming lark, only started out last December but blimey it's very addictive and not kind on the liver!

I have always thought if someone wrote a book or even a sit-com on Motorhoming it would be extremely popular......could this be a project for you perhaps?!?

Fingers crossed you manage to get on a ferry next Monday once you have got your rude number plate in pride of place!

Have a great trip and don't forget to tell us all about it when you get back!

Our next trip is to Burrs Country Park......Bury.....not quite as exotic as your trip!

Val

Yes its very addictive, and as for being bad for the liver i don't know i have found its been bad for my bank account! But there you have it i would not change my ways of travelling around Europe  the facility to stop and explore areas that you would not even think of. We have made many friends over the years, and this is another plus of motorhoming, yes i will keep you posted when we get back, and perhaps i'll manage to upload some photos, i don't know how to do that yet!
