All the same though,  the Ford Transit engine if maintained preperly goes on & on,  & has been voted `best van' on the road & I think more than once,  & they are a lot less expensive. 

We certainly had no complaints about the old one (just a van not a camper) we used to have.

Just realised the T4 is actually too short for us anyway.   I had thought they  were around the same size as a lwb transit van but it seems they're just about 15 ft long. Must be mixing it up with another VW van  !

We're after something we can both stand up straight in that's at least 17ft long really - & with good mpg return.   Don't want much do we

Philip,  unfortunately just about everything in Preloved seems to be at the other end of Britain.  It's a good few hours drive - & a small fortune in diesel - just to get to the border from here.  

I must look again though as there may be something nearer come in,  I did sort of give up on Preloved due to this,  so thanks for reminding me !
