Hi Sara
Just picked up on this. I have great faith in the legal team at motability and would suggest that you ask if they will either take the case up for you or suggest someone that will. I should think that if you took the line that the motorhome was in fact a disability aid then you have grounds to say that it is not a luxury but a normal part of disabled living for you. Since no two disabilities are alike then this would hold water and might well win it for you. As for storage, try another route. Get in touch with local landowners, neighbours that you get along with etc and see if there is anywhere or anyone local to you that would be willing to help with storing the van for you more securely than on the street. You never knowm you might even try a local councilor, the housing trust has to work closely with the local authourity and he/she might swing it for you to park on your drive. Since you are providing the drive why not apply for a local authourity grant for it? It does come under the list of allowable adaptaions for a grant. So many options, just think slowly and carefully.
Remember, the shortest route betwen two points is not always a straight line where red tape is concerned. Many a case has been won on appeal even. chin up and dont despair, I am certain you will get there soon.
