Cathymac OH is very jealous, he used to stay in Balloch on business all the time.  He loves it there and would love to buy a house nearby.

Hi Ali

I love it here. have you ever visited ? There is a camp site in the village. You should make a trip to Scotland and make Balloch your base for a few days to see this beautiful part of the world and of course meet up with Jim (my OH) and I for a few wee beverages.Try and make you trip up to co-inside with the folk festival or the Balloch highland games.or the beer and food weekend  Great weekends but  when it's the folk festival every pub has the folk groups in during the day for a wee sing along.A great time is had by everyone. I believe in the pipeline we are to have a huge hogmanay party in the park. Not confirmed yet but that would be a must do. The park is opened all year. If it comes off maybe i'll organise a wee meet. Watch this space !!

I don't know how right it is but if you register the field as a small holding and keep a few chickens on it you are entitled to keep a semi permanent dwelling on the land and live in it ?

I think your right there bob.

Just end up with bird flu!!

Seriously i think if you keep a few animals, then by law you have to look after them on site.

So someone has to be there could get away with a temorary licence for a static.

I'd be interested in seeing how you get on with your project.

Hub and I thought we had the very piece of land to put a static on and then build our own home. But realised that we were getting into 'Investment Land' areas. So be careful out there, plenty wolves for the unwary.

Have started looking to move sticks to Malta. Now in the EU so no work problems. Also have found at least 1 real estate site offering 2/3 bed apartments, with Washing Machine and TV, for £175 a month rent.

Thinking about renting out house and motorhome, living in Malta until it gets too hot, them coming back and motoring for 2 Summer months.

Is there anyone out there who has tried letting a hire company use their motorhome?

June
