My Autotrail Tracker seems to have very poor pressure when flushing the Thetford toilet. I checked the feed pipe and found a small orange insert at one end effectively reducing the pressure. Does anybody know why this is fitted and what is the down side of removing it.

Hi, If your thetford is the type that takes water from your main water tank the insert is probably a one way valve to stop any (toilet) water backing up to the main tank.

It could be a non return valve to stop the water draining away into the main tank.

If you can remove it and try it without you may find that its restricted and may possibly clear by flyshing on a mains pressure tap.

Hot water helps to soften the pipe for removal/fitting

Usually there is too much pressure causing water to shoot over the bowl edge.

You may have poor connections to the pump/fuse (corrosion etc)
