I just worry about the suction cups causing damage to the van. I posted in the equipment section for peoples opinions but didn't get many responses. It looks a good idea though as you can mount it anywhere on the van including the roof. I also wanted to know how people get the wires inside their van. I have an external ariel point but not a satellite connection, how easy/expensive would it be to change this? What do the rest of you do?

I have the Maxview Semi Tronic which I fitted to the van roof 12 months ago and I very pleased with it.

It is not self seeking but remembers a pre set angle of inclination and you then use a meter to find the satellite.

They cost about £450 plus fitting

Between £1500 and £2000 was the norm but some on the above listing seem to have come down in price.

I went for the Semitronic because the load is taken by a pole attached to a cupboard side inside the van rather than the aluminium of the van roof.

Also the Semitronic could be fitted with a twin LNB for Sky+ which the dome type could not at the time I bought mine
