Try the romahome manufacturers in the iow you might get a test drive olso there is a co in southampton sells r/homes i think it is called Freebourne motorhomes ask for test drive.
The Mezan is roof is too low inside, even a shorter like my husband at 5'2" his head touched the roof.
If no luck with a Romahome test drive, then test drive a Berlingo van or car as they are based on this vehicle they drive like a car, I use mine as an everyday vehicle. And I am an OAP
Not in Dorset, but near Bristol Airport is Avon Motor Caravans, where Ant the extremely helpful and knowledgeable owner runs a "Try before you buy" scheme, which sounds an excellent idea to me. Romahomes are of excellent quality. ask any owner.
See their website at http://www.avonmotorcaravans.co.uk
Good luck!
We bought one from Freeborne in Southampton and they have a branch in Guildford and are really helpful and we have no regrets. Since buying I have also heard really good reports about how helpful Ant is in Bristol and will be popping down to see his showroom this summer some time.
By the way we love our Romahome Outlook, it has everything we need in it and it drives like a dream.
I have a romahome, it is my third. If you just want a test drive try your local Citroen dealer because it is just like driving an ordinary Berlingo with the proviso that it is longer and higher but no wider. I can vouch for this because our other car is a Berlingo Multispace.
There is only a couple negatives with the Citroen berlingo... and they are.. the cost of spare parts compared to something like vauxhilll.. and secondly...
I have yet to meet a Citroen dealer that I would like to deal with... the dealers that sold me my vehicle were simply appalling.. my friends who bought one also have had a similar experiance. Dreadfull
You must be very unlucky in your part of the world.
I live in the northwest and have had dealings with Rigbyes of eccleston near Chorley and John Wilding of Kendal. Both were excellent and I would use them again.
I havent found parts expensive although I sometimes use the local Peugeot agent.
I have had good service from both GSF and Eurocarparts, ordering on the Internet and going into local branches.
