If you have the peugeot boxer shape it,s better for you to change the horn to a low note fiamm . The origional peugeot horn is U/S.
I had the same problem it,s because it,s mounted under the n/s headlamp right in the middle of a water trap I also moved the mounting position on mine and i have had no problem since .
------------- you may be frustrated now but infront of me there is a big incline . yeh it may be slow but it is in front
You may find an adjuster screw with a lock nut on the horn body, spray with wd40,slacken the lock nut then have some one press the horn whilst you adjust the screw in or out untill you get a decent sound, Hope this helps.
The horn on my Pug went U/S it had a stupid tone for the size of the vehicle. Not any longer though, I fitted a pair of Windtones from Halfords, now I have a proper warning tone, not a high pitched "beep"
We have a MH on Fiat base and I the horn is a recurring problem. Had one fitted two years ago and just about to have another fitted. I understand that the two base vehicles are very similar so might be the same problem.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
To replace the horn is quite a simple job but it is made much easier and less knuckle skin removing by taking off the front panel and bumper. This is done as follows :-
Open bonnet and remove the long white panel above the bumper assembly (it has the Fiat badge on it). Just remove the 4 self tapping screws along the top edge there is a peg at each end of this panel that just prises out.
Then un clip the plastic splash panels in front of the wheels along the edge of the wing only - 3 push type fixings that prise out with a screwdriver.
At the bottom of each side of the wing/bumper you will find a support bar that is retained by a captive bolt and nut at the bumper - Undo these
Now remove the two round blanking caps on the lower front face of the bumper to reveal the attachment bolts - These are very long bolts and need to be completely removed.
Almost there!!!
Now you undo the 4 nuts along the top edge of the bumper that were previously concealed by the white metal trim panel that you first removed.
Once all this is done just pull the black bumper assembly forward to disengage it from the vehicle.
Lay face down on some cardboard to avoid scratches.
You can now easily replace the horn unit
Re-Assembly is the reverse of the above but you will need two people as you have to locate the mushroom block on each side of the vehicle into the slots on the bumper - Not a problem with one person on each side.
