Hi paulbambi..... Yes,it is a bit unique ! You would be surprised where you can get a full sized artic ! And yes I do have a class 1 licence. That's what I do for a living...HGV 1 driver.
By the way, are their any publications that list campsites (especialy for big motorhomes) ??
The huntsman and hounds in Essex big field and they had a big motor home on there when we were there, standard gate to go through though but he managed ok...
I've sent an e-mail to both the C.C & the C&C.C... Given them full details of my rig... ... Asked them if the can list the sites that are capable of taking it !
When they get up off the floor,we'll see just how good / serious they are,huh ??
Good Luck Jayen. We'd have a fair few kitchens posted on freecycle recently so you could keep an eye on there. Are you going to fit a full size bath? You have the space...

My guess is £1200.
Hi...Jenny is it ??
Yes I am fiiting a full size bath.....got a lovely original cast iron one, with fancy brass taps/shower take off thingy on it !! (plus the sink & toilet that came with it ! ). That came from freecycle too !!
Just for your info...Sooh was VERY close to the price that I paid for it.....
You dont really need a 6 legger do you?--you wont be anywhere near 40 tonnes, let alone 44----you could get an old ex Tesco non-sleeper unit for a few grand--but I'm guessing you will be wanting a Daf superspace or Scanny topline with a load of spotlights across the roof----yood have a guest room as well, then--
How about a Foden 6 x 4 with cross locks, you would not need to worry about wet fields and getting stuck, thats why so many Showmen have them, also people doing Agricultural shows with display units.

You often see them in Truck Trader for only a couple grand-80s-early 90s--good idea as they are lightweight double drives rated for 45 tonnes not heavy haulage units--
The general idea with the tractor unit is that if I get the right spec,it would also double as a 'work' unit, too (If I ever decided to go back to being an owner driver !). Good point about the 6x4 Foden tho'.! .... Hmmm...
And no ,I'm not into all that 'lights everywhere and bling' stuff ! The money's better spent where it's more practical.....
Yes...heard back from both of them... Basically they are saying to ring the sites directly.... Fat lot of help, huh ?? One of these sites does in fact have a list of sites that take 'larger' units....but nothing on the scale of my beastie !!
