Am I the only one to really find nothing to like about this van!!!!!!

I'd rather have my little tiny campervan with its dolls house size measurements. If I want mod cons I have them at home. The point of camping for me is to savour the simplicities of life in a field watching the animals and birds with a glass of wine or a cup of tea.

If I had £1,000,000 I would still have my little van but would spend my money on making traveling around the world easy and a bit more secure for me and the OH. Disposable BBQs all the way!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice one Romaway.....well said ......  i would rather have my old T25 ....i would like the money in the bank that this thing must be worth as well .....

I cant for some reason view this motorhome. I have clicked on the link but I just get a blank green screen. However, from reading the comments about it, it does sound rather lavish to me and a heck of a lot of money but I suppose for those who have that sort of money to spend then maybe to them it might be worth it and if that's what they want then so be it - who are we to judge?

Personally without seeing it myself I cant give a proper personal opinion of what I think to it but my view on all things in life is do whatever makes you happy and if you can afford it and you aint asking anyone else to foot your bills and it's what you want then its fine by me. I don't really care what others prefer as long as they respect other peoples choices and I would never dream of scoffing at anyone elses preferences in life. To be honest, I just love the fact that in the camping/caravanning/motorhoming world you bump into all kinds of people from all walks of life who love the freedom that comes from this pastime and some people are just ordinary folk living on a tight budget but who are nevertheless great people with a positive attitude to life and despite not being laden with wealth are out there happy and enjoying life!  Whereas you can also meet some wonderful people who are obviously very wealthy, well to do high flyers but have a yearning desire to get away from the stresses and strains of their everyday grind and workloads and despite their wealth are decent down to earth folk. To be honest I do not see any person in any better light than the other and to me no matter what their financial status is they are all the same to me. Rich or poor I judge folk by how they behave and don't stereotype anybody!  Many people I have met during our travels have just been nice, pleasant people and that is what I judge them by and certainly not by what outfit they own!

There are no hard and fast rules re motorhoming, caravanning or camping, its a fun recreational pastime and you choose whatever and whichever method of camping suits you, your lifestyle, your interests and your pocket the best and if a simple van is your choice then you have no need to defend that choice whatsoever and likewise for the person who pruchases a luxury model. Each to their own I say!

Just for you – here is a picture taken from their web site, it’s similar to the traditional RV’s from America. But well overpriced at €1.200,000

It’s all relative, it’s big, costs a lot and the people who own these items have more money than we can imagine, if I had 1.2 Million I wouldn’t keep my Compass, possibly upgrade to a big Hymer, or another 6/7 berth MH

Wow Griswold - its a GIANT and the price is unbelievable!

Personally if I had that kind of money to spend I would choose to spend it on other things and like you, I would be more than content with the kind of size motorhome we currently have. I think being able to get around easily and being able to continue to enjoy touring Europe are very important things for us and if we couldn't do that we would probably find it a bit too restricting but oh my goodness I bet it is dead impressive inside? Oh how the other half live?

I suppose if you wanted to live in something full time that is mobile too, then something like this would be like a dream come true and if you had that sort of money, you wouldn't have to worry about fuel consumption either would you?  You could live in different parts of the world as and when the mood took you and it would be like having a luxury apartment in several different countries wouldn't it and then when you have had enough of being there, you just move on!  Oh how wonderful that would be and what freedom and with something like that you would have all the luxuries of home on board too which if you were full timing you would no doubt really appreciate.

Still never mind, as luxurious as it is I am more than happy with ours and come September we will take delivery of our new Autrotrail and we will be just as excited about that.

Thanks for taking the trouble to find me a photo of this luxury vehicle that was very sweet of you.

Personally, I would go for a Newell if money was no object and drive it to Calais and spend a couple of years touring the world....
