We bought 2 single toppers for our motorhome and they really are fantastic. When you sleep on them they turn your mattress into the most comfortable and luxurious mattress ever and despite their high cost I can thoroughly recommend them. We bought them because our motorhome had seating that your turn into a double bed for sleeping and we thought we might find it uncomfortable with all the piping around the edge of the upholstery and so we decided that a memory foam topper might just be the solution we were looking for and we were not wrong this memory foam is wonderful and we even have pillows made in it now. We are buying a new motorhome with a fixed end bed and proper mattresses but we will still use the memory foam toppers as they are so comfortable to sleep on and make your bed feel like a proper little nest!

My advice is to buy one and I can guarentee you wont regret it.

We have a memory foam topper of similar size but cost about £40. It is only 1 inch thick but makes a big difference. We have a small campervan with very limited storage therefore a 2 inch topper rolled up would be huge!It came without a covering. As it is quite delicate, with lots of rolling/unrolling I made a cover for it. Bought a single duvet cover in sale £5.50 and cut/machined it down to size across end and one side. Instant cover. Bought a second cover and opened up sides to within a foot of the bottom and made instant botom and top sheet combined. A third one for the duvet! Bingo. Customised bedding!
best wishes Alex

Thank you for your thoughts. I will definitely go for it as our bed is decidedly hard!

Bought a 2" single memory foam topper about £89 and it makes the previously made up bed from the seating feel like a 'proper' bed. It is a bit bulky to store, but well worth the effort. O.H. uses a self inflating thing to go on top of the cushions that is o.k. but not nearly as comfy as mine !!!

Hi Ken,

We bought ours approx 3 years ago from an outdoor motorhome show at Stratford Upon Avon. There was a stall there selling them but I cannot for the life of me recall their name. I do know they weren't cheap approx £75 each if my memory serves me well but the stallholder had a caravan sofa set up with one of these memory foam toppers laid on it for people to try and that was what sold it for us. When we tried it out it was soooooo comfy and they were selling loads. Ours is quite a thick topper and comes with its own zipped protective sheet and at a guess I would say is approx 3 inches thick so if you are looking for one I would suggest going for one of that thickness. I know there are a lot of inferior memory foam toppers on sale so I would make sure I bought one from a reuputable seller but sadly I cannot help you with the name of the company I bought ours from. However, there is another motorhome show due to be held there next weekend and maybe the same stand might be there again this year and so here is a link for you.   http://www.stoneleisure.com/StratfordMHUS.htm It might be worth ringing up the organisers and asking if they have a list of exhibitioners and then you can check if there is anyone there selling these toppers.

Sorry I couldnt be more help.

God luck.

Sooh

We bought our memory foam from Argos and it was a double for eighty odd pounds. Briliant nights sleep now.
