Hi all

Would someone with a Talbot Express Autosleeper Rambler please let me know the size of the larger of the two tables please? My van came without one and I want to make one up.

Thanks in advance

Phil

Hi Jim

Many thanks for responding to my request!! It's more like a plea actually!

I don't have the infill section either. I have seen photos of it but I have no idea of the measurements so any help you can give me on that too would be very much appreciated.

Phil

Sorry for delay Phil, been a bit busy.

Simple dimensions of 3 foot by 18 inches ,also my table has 2 extra pices of timber along underneath ,possibly to prevent bending or flexing.

Hope this helps, and i am still looking for dimensions for the infill piece, also to find out if anyone has fitted a cassette toilet in the shower cubicle on one of these.

Regards Jim

Hi Jim

I have made up the infill piece by laying the van out as a bed then wedging the infill cushions between the two front seats and measuring the height required to get them to sit at the right height. I then got some 12mm ply, 4 hinges and 2 stays (to stop it folding) from Focus/B&Q. The infill piece is basically made up of 3 pieces of ply that fold up when not in use and stores in the same area as the large table. I have the photos of the infill piece from another persons van but he's away at the moment and not answering emails so I can't tell you the official dimensions but mine are as follows:

Top piece 275mm wide x 900mm long x 12mm ply

Front of van end piece (sits just up onto the raised area of floor in the cab) 275mm wide x 300mm long x 12mm ply

Back end piece (roughly speaking ends up sitting at the back of the front seats) 275mm wide x 405mm long x 12mm ply

This makes the infill piece seem lop sided but the front sits up on the raised part of the cab floor as described therefore the whole thing levels out. On the top piece I screwed two 275mm x 20mm x 40mm battens on the underside to stop the fold down pieces hinging too far back.

If you want the photos of the infill piece the other chap has (it's the original) I can forward them to you so you get an idea of the general assembly of it, then copy my dimensions. I also have a rough outline drawing I can email to you too as I can't seem to add it to this post.

Regards Phil

Hi Jim

I've just added the drawing and the photo to my gallery so you can look at them.

Hope it helps!

Phil
