Hi folks,

Much excitement in our house at the moment - Saturday's visit to the mainland in search of our first motorhome resulted in the purchase of a 2003 Burstner A532-2 on a 2.8jtd. To say that we're delighted may be something of an understatement. We're flying back over to collect it on Saturday morning and are looking foward to the drive from W.Midlands across to Fishguard then the run from Rosslare back home to N.I. This is going to be a loooong week!!

Has anyone out there got a similar van? Any tips or hints?

We have a Burstner but I don't know the A532. We are very happy with ours. Hope you enjoy yours as much.

We are members of the Burstner owners club and they have been very helpful, not sure they do rallies in NI though... Might be worth considering joining if you are intending travelling on the mainland or the continent.

I have just sold my Burstner 535 Active. I found this van to be extremely well finished and so reliable.

All in all Burstner = quality, I hope your van serves you well.

Thanks for the encouraging words folks - we can't wait to get it home and start having fun!
If I require any burstner parts in the future, are any of the appointed dealers any good at sourcing them, or would it be best to try to get stuff direct from Germany?

They guy i got my Burstner from in Hull seems to be able to get all the Burstner parts. Not that you need them with a Burstner of course.

Steven Pritchard is the guys name. his website is www.motorhomesltd.com

I purchased my Burstner from him, and i have just got my new Rimor from him also...

Probably be cheaper (and maybe quicker) to get it from Germany if you are going, but dealer should be able to get anything you need.

I can imagine how excited you are about your new van, bet you can't wait for your first trip away.

The dealer we bought from also does Burstner and has told us how good the aftersales service for spare parts is. They can order online and usually the parts are delivered within days.

Just for interest which dealer did you eventually choose ?

As for tips.. enjoy your van, use it rather than it sit on the drive most of the time, buy bits as you find you need them as opposed to buying what everyone else has. Everyones needs are different and there are loads of good threads on here about what you need and how to fit your van out inexpensively.
