I've checked my van on the website, I do have to pay, which is correct. It has got the vehicle in the wrong vehicle type, it has me as a bus or coach, or a lighter lorry!
The people I feel sorry for are those owners that live within the zone. Unless they can get their vehicles uprated to Euro 111 they face having to keep the van outside the zone, or pay £36,500 a year
well from what I read my motorhome meets the requirements and therefore I will be able to attend abbey wood site and do my normal which is get the bus and tube to get around.
Given the amount of pollution that China,India and the good ol' USA are spewing out, this piece of money grabbing disguised as as enviromental conservation by loopy Livingstone should extend the life of the planet by all of twenty minutes.
now that the smoking ban is due in...the govenment will be looking at other ways to claw back lost tax's...road charging is the next move...sat tracking as a means of totalling the cost of each jouney would tie in nicely with another charge that of id card...knowing who you are and where you are would be a means of goverment control over the nation at no cost to govenment as we are the mugs who will pay for it all .... think about it...we are surrending our freedom in the name of global warming and nutters with rucksacks...yet the only people to maintain there freedom will be the rich....tony and his pals .... that reminds me did i do the lotto...
I had heard of this new way of getting money out of our pockets but I did not realise quite how far reaching it was! Where I work, Erith, is inside the zone. Luckily my motorhome is compliant although I only use it a couple of days a week.
The funny thing is I have a 2 stroke Vespa and as far as I am aware this pumps out far more pollution than most diesel vehicles. Oooops. Hoping Uncle Ken isn't reading this might give him another idea!

As many motor homes will not be able to be used inside the M25 after 2009, I was wondering what others intend to do about it
