Went to a CC club site at Chester this weekend, no daft taps and a motorhome service point , that wasn,t hard to get to, had a drive over grate -TWO !- to empty grey, why can,t all CC club sites be like that ? ( No doubt Webby will move this , but its posted where fellow M/H ,s will see for deffie. )
Aye, look what happened to them ! Perhaps Richard Branson might consider a buy out, lower prices, stir up the competition, free bottle of wine for booking two nights and over,we can but dream-by the look of the weather nobody will be doing much this week.
Most I have been to are fairly easy to get at, some are a real pain, Cherry Hinton comes to mind, its on a hill and the only way I can use it is to block the road due to where our drain tap is, as water wont flow up hill
Hillhead has good one, Ferry Meadows not bad, etc. etc.
When you fill the motor home from the tap, we noticed at Hillhead there was a tap marked drinking water and a tap for waste cleaning with a brown hose attached. What we were not sure of was do you attach the blue water hose we are carrying to the drinking water or do you fill your water tanks with the same hose as already in place for the grey water?
I know we should ask the warden but they were busy and I tried not to look too much of a novice
You put your blue hose on the drinking water one, never use the grey water one to fill ye tank. I always shove that pipe right up me waste spout to rinse out the tank and spout, lots of nasties could be lurking up there and thence on't pipe.
Over the years have written detailed letters to both CC and CCC re the generally unsuitable dumps and water loading arrangements. Have even sent drawings and photographs.
Have notice one or two improvements sg the GlenCoe site of CCC
