we have been thinking of buying a van to have converted but we dont want to have a full conversion (i.e have a high roof fitted) and we like the VW T4/5 van has anyone gone through a simular process and can you recommend any good companies.

I also like the bongo but I dont know how good vehicles are and how available spares are I have heard people give them good reports who have owned them for several months but would like to know owners views who have had them for years, As any van we buy will be used every day and needs to be low enough to go under height barriers.

I am open to views and recommendation for other van chassis

Up until recently we owned a Diahatsu Hijet conversion that came from JC Leisure in Winchelsea.  They seem to specialise in converting small vans.  It was only big enough to sleep 2 but it had a cooker, a little sink, a leisure battery and EHU.

Good luck with your search
