A while ago i think on fleebay i came across a 12v pump that you can drop into a water container and then plug into you cigarette lighter socket which then enabled you tou fill your onboard water tank up without the need of moving the motorhome but now after searching the web cannot locate this product again, can anybody help with my quest and let me know of any possible retailers of this product.
thanks for that dave but its not quite what i'm looking for, it is similar to those found on ebay but the difference being the ones i had seen had a black curly lead on that went straight into a cigarette lighter socket.
Could you buy a cigarette lighter plug and a suitable length of lead and make your own using a Whale pump, they are very efficient and would do the job I'm sure.
Idealy you need to get a outside 12volt socket with weather cover fitted near to the water filling inlet connected to the liesure battery supply so that there is no chance of running down your starter battery. Any competant auto electrician should be able to do this task, if you feel you cannot.
thanks for the info guys just done another search on ebay and found one similar (item no 300052385510 ) expensive though at nearly £60 maybe it might be cheaper to make something up myself
As long as the fed for the pump will accept 12v then you could buy a cigarette lighter plug from Maplin for about £1.00 and fit that the the plug socket end. Much cheaper than £60.00
