Hello Everyone

Hoping to get some help here.......Could anyone recommend a reliable dealer to buy a motor home from in the UK.  I've visited loads of web-sites but there is nothing better than a personal recommendation!!  Have decided to keep away from E-bay.

We would recommend WEST COUNTRY MOTORHOMES in Brent Knowl (near Weston-Super-Mare).  They also have a showroom in Swindon I believe.

We've bought 2 motorhomes from them now.  They're always up for a deal.......especially if you see that at a show (always the best place to do a deal!) and their customer service/after care is excellent!

Hi there, have you tried Motorhome Ireland, branches in Dublin and Banbridge, N.Ireland. Have a look at their website. What about Donagheys in Letterkenny? I haven't dealt with them, only Motorhome Ireland.

We chose this dealer after visiting many and would use again.

Todds at Preston have a good selection in an indoor showroom

If nothing else you have have a look at their websites and get ideas of prices and quality.

Being a "West of Ireland" man myself, I have been dealing with the same m/home company for years......www.motorhomesltd.com (Prop: Steven Pritchard).

I have just taken delivery of my new m/home, and as always the guy was a pleasure to deal with. No fancy talk, or big premises where you cant put a name to anyone.....just a nice hands on guy, who knows they business and gives a service that i imagine would be hard to surpass.

Thouroughly recommend hime for new or s/hand...

I've not heard good things about Davan in Weston Super Mare on both the caravan and motorhome front.  Eager to sell, terrible on sorting out problems once you have taken delivery.

We've just bought a great motorhome from Barron's. They are a nationwide company and drove the vehicle we wanted from Durham to Herne Bay so that we could buy it.

Having said that, there were good deals to be had on eBay - you just need to contact the seller and go see the van - it just happened the one's we liked were in North Wales, so not practical. The advantage of eBay was that the sellers were giving away hundreds, sometimes thousands of pounds worth of extras which a dealer will charge for - gas bottles, awnings, bike racks, one even had a £700 generator.

We bought ours from Barrons at Darlington .no problems at all We had a few things done on the 1 year warenty with no questions s.Usually just let us have the work done at Carlisle workshop.Would use them again but heard some of the branches are being closed as they have been taken over by another firm.
