To anyone who is thinking of travelling abroad for the first time and are very nervous, just go for it, we have just had a brilliant holiday in the Loire valley at Stu & Sybs camp site Le Chant. I was very nervous as we have not done this before on four wheels, had no problems whatsoever with driving on the right hand side of the road, we also found the French people very helpfull and friendly. Now Europe is my oyester.

John.

I couldn't agree more.  We have just done our first 14 day tour of Europe, and I can't wait to go again,   The nerves about driving on the right disapeared after two miles, it was a doddle.  We had few problems with the different languages either

2,600miles around France, Belguim, Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Luxemborg.

The Romanische Strasse, The Brennar Pass, Austrian Tyrol,  First time trip up the alps in a cable car.  Rhine Valley, Mosel Valley.

Can't Wack It.

I know how you all feel we just did out first trip to Europe went off 26th March back 25th June.We enjoyed every day of it .We also went to Stu & Sybs lovely place they have and we went to Twinlakes as well to Sandra & Garys same thing lovely and good company. We went on through Spain to Portugal had 4 weeks there absolutely brilliant..Then back through spain to the South France then up and over the  Millau bridge and down into the town for a few days. The whole holiday was fantastic and it went so quick we couldnt believe it when it was time to come home .But 3 months on the go had unsettled me and I need to be on the move again so hopefully Jan we are off again for another few months. We wild camped in Portugal and used the motorhome aires in france they are superb not the motorway ones but the village and towns the people were so friendly .I cpould go on forever lol

Just do it! We went as far as Barcelona last year, brilliant. Have to say Tom Tom was very helpful, sat dish a bit of a waste of time(too many bars and sangria). Off again in 10 days 11 hours and 20minutes approx. Doing a differant route this time, no sites booked, will stop where it takes our fancy although great site in Santa Susana on the costa Brava, back of the motorhome overhangs the beach, 5 metres of sand and then the med, great to wake up to in a morning...........have fun.

So pleased to hear you enjoyed your trip Harley John. I bet there will be no stopping you now!

I think once you have ventured that little further afield it certainly gives you the taste not to mention the confidence for a little more adventure and that is when your motorhome really comes into it's own and enables you to truly enjoy the wonderful and liberating freedom that having a mobile home on wheels gives you and like you, I advise anyone who has ever fancied doing the same to just go for it as I am sure they will return home as impressed and as positive as you have done.

I think the question now to ask is .................  where to next then?

Sooh
