I have still not found the right campervan. I have looked at so many, big, small, luxury, do er upper etc. The VW T25 was my first choice but the prices are pretty steep for 15 - 20 year old van. The Talbot range seem like a better choice for myself, they seem slightly bigger but not overly so and cheaper to buy. I don't mind a fix it up job since I intend to pull out the engine and re-do it anyway.

The problem is I don't think these are made anymore and posts on here indicate spare parts may be difficult to get hold of. I went to VW North West show recently and there sure is plenty of VW parts around, genuine and third party.

I really am set on a Talbot, do any Talbot owners have any comments, should I avoid it and look elsewhere?

 Hi fred we have a talbot autosleeper and find it suites us well,  but if you go for one try and get one with power steering,  they are a bit heavy without.

 we've got a Talbot 2.5 turbo diesel, we have found the engine to be reliable and to have plenty of power we can get up  big hills with no hiccups at all. The biggest problem with these vehicles is the rust around the bootom of the windscreen and the wheel arches.

Hi hope I am not being to forward putting this post int reply to Fredm but I have a 1987 Talbot Express Autosleeper Talisman, very good condition, no damp, runds well, we just came back from a couple of weeks in France, we find the layout great and as a van it is excellent, my problem is I now use a wheelchair more frequently and find it a bit difficult if you would be interested in it get back to me and I will send you pictures,
