Are you going to register it in France?--not very easy & costly to get an imported s/h motorhome onto French plates--easy to register it in UK tho----Urbano at Ostend is a well known m/h dealer well used to selling to Brits--google for their website--
I bought mine in Germany from Mobilpartner I was very satisfied. They are Adria, Challenger & Frankia dealers. The money savings compared to the UK make it well worthwhile. Insurance can be a problem until you get it registered, in Germany you get 3rd party insurance with the export plates, I overcome the problem by using the dealers trade plates. Many dealers seem willing to deliver the vehicle to your home address.
Hi do you have too pay any import duty if you purchase a secondhand MH in germany or belgium do you know?also have you any experience of adria versus knuas versus burstner quality/reliability issues etc..very much appreciated your info...thanks tony
-You dont pay import duty for anything within the EU--if you buy a new motorhome in any EU country to bring back to the UK you buy it VAT free & pay VAT in the UK when you register it--if you buy secondhand you pay the full price & drive it home-no more to pay except UK registration costs--
