Fluffy mop and bucket for me too, Lunnie!

Easiest way to wash a car too.

In Scotland, they usually wash the car/van when it looks like it's going to rain, to save having to rinse, and it works! Mind you, the rain up there in the highlands is very clean!!

If we're in for a heavy downpour, I have sometimes just chucked some car wash liquid on the roof and it's washed itself, he he he. All depends how fussy you are - in my case, that's not at all, usually ends up cleaner than it was, nuff for me.

Motorhome washing is not something that I do but OH uses Auto Glym products. long handled brush and set of tall step ladders.  There's just opened a car wash at the top of our road that cleans caravans and motorhomes but not sure if or how they do the roof.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.

I have just found a Car,Van and Motorhome wash at Ashton  which is in Tameside.

It as been there a few years but  Ihave had no need of it.

Couple of blokes and machine and brushes. I called today and they seemed nice enough quoted £15 depending on size and state of it.

I was going to return tomorrow (Sunday) but my battery is flat.

Help. I persume this is because the engine as not been run since

1st Sept 2007 .

Now I have had one of my many lessons on car maternance.

Hey Polly! Have you left a switch on somewhere? Like to your fridge?

If it's an old vehicle (mine is 20 years old) it will need to be started more often, maybe just taken for a run around the block at least once a week.

Could just be you need a new battery.

No switches left on. Yes 1 sept 2007 last use.

Its been back to Peuguet at ashton under lyne Tameside and they could not find anything wrong with the battery. So i will ask  'spinney motorhomes' at cheshire where it origanily came from to have a look.

Its only 3 year old in march 2008.

Anyway lucky  I Checked it as I am out with North East Cheshire District Association {Camping and Caravanning Club} next weekend its their FOL. Looking forward to it.Might be my first tow off the field  if the rain keeps up.HA HA

Hi just back from a weekend at hollinwoth Lake I called  at  Ashton under lyne on my way back , to the car wash for a spruce up Gladis M/H shone well and it cost me £12 not bad i thought. Anyone want to buy a long armed brush.

I am what you call a lone camper, but I don't worry about being on my own in fact it was only reading the forum letters that brought it to mind. I don't think about it. If you did then you wouldn't do anything and that applies to all walks of life.

I do have hurdles to stride, and my latest was filling up with deisel. yes I have been using Gladis only my son and son-in-law have been putting in the fuel. This hurdle  I have taken in my stride.

My next hurdle I suppose is being stuck in a farmers field due to all the rain we have and being towed out. but once I have done it I will be OK.

my grandson is 6 and as just begun to race on his motor bike and keeps asking me to go so i suppose my next hurdle wont be long and then i can MASTER the next all is taken in my stride.
