Got a bit cross recently when trying to park in a designated motorhome/caravan area of a town carpark, very busy traffic warden was writing tickets for the twenty or so lone cars parked in the bays and helpfully pointed us in the direction of a local lorry park, but this meant my wife who is disabled had to stay in the van as she couldn't walk so far back into the town.
And the next day in another town we again found the designated areas full of cars and this time no helpful warden so we ended up parked at the side of a road, cheaper and easier for my wife but not as good for the town I would have thought.
It seems in the few towns where they do want us to park selfish car drivers steal our spaces !
Maybe they are just disgruntled because once a year visitors are taking their spaces? I sometimes get irked when i can't park in the next village because of visitors.
I think i better clarify a point here! It's not the motorhome drivers i'm getting at, it's the councils for making dedicated spaces for them. Residents most probably see these vacant all winter, hence they learn to ignore them.
I can see it may be annoying for regular users of the car parks but they should complain to the council and get the bays removed then we would all know where we stand, unwanted and unloved lol
