Does anyone have one on their toilet cassette they are very good i,m told and get this the guy on the theatford stand last week told me they are brill he was wispering of course but he did add if I had one put in it would invalidate and warranties on the product
Had one installed at the York show and must say its a very good bit of kit, very pleased with it and you dont need to use chemicals if you dont want. I never liked the chemical smell when using the loo but now no smells at all, with or without using pink or green chemiclas!!
I really dont like the idea of cutting holes out of my van, and putting a vent in the back door.
Also, i've never had a bad odours in the van using Thetford Aquachem green, and its enviromental and quite cheap. Mind you i do stick to the first commandment of No Solids.

I was going to get the SOG system when I bought my van a couple of months ago but,I used Bio Magic right from the off and have had great results from it.I also think the SOG is a lot of dosh for what it is.
Biomagic will only work if no other chemicals are present in the thetford cassette,if you previously used chemicals, make sure you wash out thouroughly before using Bio Magic, otherwise it will not work.
I fitted a SOG to my van, easy enough to fit. Biggest advantage apart from not having to buy chemicals is that you can empty the toilet at any time, something you can't always do unless you intend wasting the chemicals you bought. In Germany nearly all the vans have them fitted. Heard some people complain that they smell outside the van but I haven't been able to smell anything when standing next to the vent. As for number 2's these seem to break down quickly enough (not that I examine the contents as a rule).
Interested in this thread .We thought about having a sog fitted but were told it was smelly outside the van so interesting to read how you go with it.If you dont use the toilet for no .2.. How do you manage or do you just go on camping sites .. we wild camp and only go on sites when we have to top up so we have to use it.
We have a sog and have not noticed any smells, although the bloke that sold us it said they were rubbish and smelly, perhaps our noses are not very good. Find it good because you have not got to worry about the chemicals, we use site facilities for 2's when it suits, but the van toilet if not. Only thing we find is that even with the large bench type cassette we couldn't go more than two days without an empty or it would be overflowing :-)
Thats true Andy still has to be emptied every couple of days especially in the heat we found in Portugal it was really warm and it needed emptied more often.the sog system looks not bad , might think about it after we we get back in the spring
Also due to the way the sog works, you can if you want disconnect the SOG pipe and leave the plug in, and use chemicals, or you could still use chemicals with the SOG connected when warm, it removes the chemical smell. By having one fitted it does not mean thats the only way you can use you cassette, you then have an option. To be honest we use chemical sometimes, but as the SOG is fitted if we run out while away we don't have to rush to buy more.
