Seem to have developed a problem with the gas fire over the weekend – it goes out all of a sudden, anyone experienced such a thing, it’s just been serviced, so can’t imagine they have done anything. I wonder if it might be something to do with the very high winds we had, or could it be a low gas bottle. Everything else running on gas, fridge, water heater and gas cooker worked fine.

The unit it a Trauma and it’s fitted in a 56 plate Compass MH.

Could be the high wind, or even air block. inside you MH you will have a valve where you can turn all the gas on and off, make sure that this is fully open. Check you cylinder, but if everything else works, get back to where you had it serviced and ask them what they have done to bugger it up, I pressume it was working perfectly beforehand!

ya I have also experienced a problem with my caravelle 4 sb1800 gas fire.Thought it was the Ignition control unit. Having tracked a new one down it has not sorted the problem. the fire does ignite but then goes out.  Ignition unit still clicks.  wonder if it is the Thermo Couple. Anyone got any ideas.  Did think worth a try of  cleaning the head of the thermo couple.  I dont think it is the wind as these things have a fail safe for that sort of thing, but could be wrong.  i am on a camp site in Northumberland and we are having awful weather at the moment, but all the gas appliances still work.
