Well the belt on my vauxhall was changed at correct interval by main dealer , but they hadnt changed the belt tensioner or pulleys which seized and threw the belt off , so if time and mieage say it needs doing I would get it done if you are intending to keep it a year or two . They have shortened the change interval to 40000 from 60000 on these now cause of othe bloody tensioner . i got the lot changed at 40000 on current vauxhall i have . I suppose its one of them things that once its happened you dont risk it .
I would get it changed personally
