Have you seen the motorhome waving etiquette post before?  You have to be really careful who you wave at you know!

If your going down the Peugot Autosleeper Symbol route,  try to pick up one with a 2.8 Hdi engine.  I dont think 2.0 HDi is suitable for tugging caravans around.  When fully loaded I think it would struggle a bit on hills.  It may be fine on motorways, but not on the up and down normal roads.

Personally, I'd go for a VW. Yes the initial outlay is more, but it will give you years of trouble free service if looked after properly. Parts can be obtained almost anywhere and these days, they are no more expensive to maintain than any other van.

Mine is now 15 years old and still going strong.

She has to earn her keep tugging an 1800kg caravan.

She looks better than many vans a quarter of her age.

Oh thats OK, I dont wave at anyone. I dont see the point. The person you are waving at in a MH you are probably screaming at when they drive a car. I just dont wave, I like to keep my hands on the steering wheel, which I what I wish other drivers would do.
