The hotbox did not work when I got the van so I decided to investigate.
First thing is there is an inline 5 amp fuse located behind the top finisher board near the lights that was blown. I replaced it and it blew straight away.
Fuse number 4 on the fuseboard which also protects the fridge on 12 volt was ok.
I tested for 12 volt continuity from the fuseboard to the thermostat, ok, then from the thermostat to the hotbox, nothing.
Dismantled the thermostat and read the wiring diagram on the back, some numbskull had wired it wrong. There are only 3 wires and four connections. One is not used.
It now works perfectly so I have save myself about £400 because I was going to buy a new one for when I go wild camping.
Fantastic,
Regards
