Help...we have just purchased this motorhome, no instructions, etc.....dealer knew nothing.....it has a marine toilet in with a seperate holding tank, we can't find how to empty it...no handles apparent. Can see where it comes out but how do you start the process? Any one any knowledge ideal if Lakia Laserhome owner could assist are there any Laserhome owners out there? Help please
we had one of these years ago - lovely beats - heavy on the wing mirrors, - short on instructions
there is a pump to empty the marine loo, but strongly recommend you get as close as you can to the drain - 100 feet is a long way to pump the kind of stuff that is going to come down the pipe

But itīs all right now, I learned my lesson well.

Thanks for the info....may seem daft, but where is the pump? So many gadgets and gizmos....unbelievable........heated towel rail!!!!....seperate shower!!!! I'm thinking of living in it on the drive!!!!!!....If I can empty the loo!!!!!!!!! Ha Ha
Yes Gizmos are a wonderfull thing.............untill you find your battery is dead or your gas tank is empty. They are only great if you fully understand them so take your time learning.
We have a wonderfull heating system in out van. Hot water Bottles!
For my TV/DVD system I just installed, I have installed another battery wired up through a relayseparate from my zig unit to charge it up.
Sorry, it was - as you say - just one of many magic gizmos.
I used to press a button inside the van near the loo while OH made sure the hose pipe went where it was supposed to!
and as T4BLOKE sez - they have their shortcomings.
OH vowed never to have another marine tank - admittedly there were a lot less motorhome emptying points in those distant days - but we've now downsized so much we've got a porta potti.
Loved the Laika - smart looker, very comfortable, brilliant on site and making the beds was a dream ;-))
Unfortunately - the sort of places we tend to go we ended up permanently carrying spare wing mirrors [- from an Iveco dealer - much much cheaper]
good luck

Many thanks for your input, I am sure we will be okay...I have bought other half a pair of wellies, gas mask, rubber gloves, in case it shoots out and misses the drain...what a laugh???? Thanks again Mal and John

If its the same year as mine (91), it"s a black handle on the floor between the rear dining area seat and the gas heater. You just pull it up and it dumps the stuff.
Hi Dave - Many thanks for your reply, thank you....how long have you owned yours? We are pleased with it but as yet have not spent a night in it, we go away New Year so looking forward to that. Perhaps one day we may meet if you go on these rallies? We are going on our first in June next year, to give it a try....Merry Christmas to you Mal and John
Sorry or the delay but have had a dead computer!!! We only bought our van last October and are absolutely delighted with it.We took it to scotland at xmas. Where is the rally in June? we may well be interested, but are planning a trip to either southern Spain or Turkey late May or early June. Also, Do you know how to remove the side window curtains??, as far as we can see it means removing the cupboards, if you don't know, then perhaps someone else reading this can help?
Many thanks for the reply, we bought our camper in January and we too are very pleased. Ours never had any side window curtains, I had to make some... put your hand up behind the grey panel at the end of the cupboard, ours had a screw in, I undone the screw and it allowed me to put my hand up to the rail, I had to put a rail up first....not the easiest of jobs!!!!! We have had to cancel the June rally we are on holiday then, but if there is another one perhaps we could meet at one or even on a campsite somewhere? We went to Scotland last September started in our other camper and broke down in Dumfries.....nightmare...had to limp home and go back in car, as daughter was getting married up there....look forward to perhaps meeting up one day, all the very best Mal and John
