Thanks John. I appreciate the good wishes.
Some good news on this front. I have managed to discover a possible alternative, it the Chausson Welcome 28GA.
It doesn't have six seats in the back, it has five. But five would do as we have five kids and as long as they each have a seat when we're driving then that should be fine, also it means they could alternate for a place up front with the Captain The good news is these Chausson models have almost the very same layouts and interior as the Burstner 747 - 2 but priced more appropriately to our budget!
After our last trip to France, last July/August, my wife and I promised ourselves that the next camper we get would have a fixed bed in the rear, which this one also has, and enough seats for the kids. We saw many beautiful campers with fixed beds in the past few months but they all, except for the Burstner 747 - 2 has only four seats in the dining area. So, because this Chausson has 5 seats things are looking more promising
We hope to see one later today in the hope of making a deal.
------------- Patrick.

Hi Bidsagogo, well, we went to see the Chausson Welcome 28GA but it didn't suite, the settee type seat was only big enough for two kids, we hoped it would do three.
Your advice about the Rimor Superbrig is on the mark as, as luck would have it, we saw one of those today, too! It wasn't the Rimor Superbrig 678, something close to it but it has tonnes of seating in the U-Lounge and double dinette area.
We may well have to give up on trying to find something akin to the Burstner 747 - 2 and settle for a compromise, and the a Rimor Superbrig might well be the way to go.
Thanks.
