His name is melvis and we collected him today!!!

So far i have cleaned all cupboards done a little tcutting on body work (needs a hell of a lot) as last owners i dont think ever polished him.

Cant wait to try him out, gonna b strange staying in him rather than in a tent.

So if anyone has any tips for a 1st timer (makes me feel in my teens again wink wink) please let me know all tips welcome

Thanks in advance

Think this year is to follow old meet friends for 2014.
If you cant do someone a good turn, don`t do them a bad one,its nice to be nice you know, and little things mean much more later in life.

Welcome to this forum, i had a Kameo back in the eighties, used to go all the way down to Pompei in it (Italy) nice camper, is it the five speed or the early 4 speed?, the five speed is  much more pleasurable to drive and more economical if you don't go crazy with your right foot, i wish i knew how to upload photos on this forum, i could upload (probably )all the campers i have had since 1974, mostly VW, the only tips i can pass on is service it every 5k miles(oil change) air and oil filter at 10k , see if you can lay your hands on some Bosch three pronged(electrodes) plugs for your engine, they are far better then the standard one, cost more but worth it.And if you got to use antifreeze, don't use anything else but the approved stuff from VW, due to rust inhibitor for the head studs. Well i do hope you enjoy your T5 for long time, and as the inside, i'm sure you will soon the nack of doing  things like bed making and so forth, good luck.

Redface, I am excited for you! You won't regret getting a motorhome. I have just started to re-wax our 'van this evening and only managed to do the bonnet , front wings and spoiler before bad light stopped play............ Hard work but well worth the elbow grease! Good luck!
