hi tyreman

this is usually caused by a non foodgrade hose. it can take months before the taste disappears.

I made the mistake of putting Milton in our tank and letting it stand for too long before flushing it through.  If you fill the tank with water and let it stand before flushing through, do this a few times.  Ours went after a few flushings through.  It might help to use warm water.

Like a lot of people, we do not use tap water for drinking now but fill a large water container straight from the tap and then put it through a filter.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.

We had that problem too, but used puriclean purifying powder (2.99) and it worked a treat. Tried out the water this weekend and it was fine.

We did notice that even after we had pumped all of the water out, when we opened the big screw bit at the bottom there was some residual water left in the tank, so now we make sure we empty that out at the end of a trip to stop any water stagnating.

We used powder and then tried tablets.

Could smell the chemicals when we ran the tap never mind taste it.

Coffee tasted Yeuk.

Then we tried flushing the blue filler pipe before filling the tank as standing water can lie in the pipe.

I've also reduced the powder down to practically nil.

Water smells better, can be used for teeth cleaning but we play safe and carry water bottles for drinking.

forget all those tablets, get a water purifier, there are various version around, on the previous MH had one with a seperate tap so you had one tap for drinking water, on the new MH went for an in line filter straight after the pump, this way all taps provide pure clean drinking water, with out the plastic taste

Well worth the money
