We have an overcab bed in our Hymer and it's actually a king size and very comfortable. The headroom is ok and it's a good place to carry bulky, lightweight stuff. You will of course take a hit on the fuel because of the extra drag of the 'Luton' top.

we have had both luton beds and drop down, both in euramobils and hymers. the overcabs we found there was not much headroom but the beds were enormous, in the dropdowns there was much more space but the beds were not quite as large. hubby is 113kg and i am 70kg and we have never struggled for space though in either. my preference has to be the dropdown as it can be put away and the cab then used for seating during the day. we found the overcab to be a bit of a waste of space during the day except for dumping stuff on which then meant we had to clear it each night.
Got a great big king size overcab bed in my Burstner Argos.Headroom seems ok (I haven`t been up there),but the kids sleep like a log and love it up there.
Plenty of space in our McLouis Glen...............

Like winks 1952 we have a Hymer Camp Swing. We find the overcab really good as it has lots of headroom and is Kingsize. As overcabs are often thought of as suitable for children only, I did contact Hymer about the weight limit and it seems that there is a weight limit on the drop down beds but this is not such a problem in the 'solid' overcabs. Best to go up and try some out as some seem to be really low.

The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
