We fitted Gaslow last Autumn.
The worst bit was drilling a hole in the side of the bodywork as that is the point of no return and if it had gone wrong then.........
BUT ......
No Problem.
We only bought a 10Kg bottle so as to leave room in the gas cupboard to carry toilet fluids, also, since we 'top-up' at the start of every trip we don't need another bottle.
A 'fill-up' usually costs around a £5 as there is always some left from the previous trip, but we don't want to run out. We are paying up to 59p a litre at A1 Service Stations.
The bottle was £90, Fill kit about £60, Guage £18. We had to buy a special sized drill at £20. All in all took about an hour to fit, for a DIYer.
We bought the lot from our local Brownhills Dealer, the Gaslow website quoted a very similar price, but we wanted to get it bought and fitted quickly.

For mine, I made a special holder inside the gas compartment. So when I want to fill up all I have to do is open the gas compartment door. This saved having to drill a hole in the door. Not an issue drilling holes in the MH as have just put 2 in the roof (one for the satellite and one for the solar panel and a couple in the side for other bits.

Thats ok if you don't travel to Italy, re. filler in the gas cupboard, as soon you open to refill the guy will tell you to move on they don't refill gas bottles/cylinders in any shape or form,(unless you run a taxy service) i had the problem with my Rapido and did not even think about that, although i did manage to get them filled all the way down in the Gargano area( being italian does help somewhat) but the guy was a bit nervous. The idea is to put the filler as far away fom the gas cupboard in order to fool them and take the gaslow sticker off, you will find that under it actually says AUTO GAS,in France is a bit easier, usually the pump is well away from the actual fuel station so you just fill up , you pay and make a quick exit.

Hi, in reply to the problem of filling with LPG in Spain, if you find the Repsol Garage website I think you can download a map of the Bottle filling Depots. I used these last year, but it's getting hold of the map, thats the problem. In Portugal LPG or should I say GPL! is quite common at Garages. I will try to find my old map and maybe post a list of the Spanish Depots if anyone requires the info.
Happy Camping.

Hi, just had a quick look on the Repsol website and a map of the filling stations and Depot's is available, called "Estaciones de Servico de Gas Butano" good eh! ( I have it written down).
Happy Camping.

oops - pushed the wrong button and sent the above off before I'd added this:
Vectawarm is the dealer I'm talking about - he's in Newport on the industrial estate but I'm not sure if there's a bike shop opposite.
Anyway, they fill us up without any problem so at least you know now that he's there and available in an emergency.
Hope you had a good trip over chrismulticruse - where did you stay for your weekend?
