Hiya
I presume you mean what make of van, Peugeot 2.8td standard Euro engine
If you mean what type of remapping chip, there aint one, re-mapping is software on your onboard ECU/Computor
All they do is plug into the vans input terminal in fuse box area (looks like a keyboard mouse connector) reads what your van is set to & copies it .Then plugs his box of tricks into his computor & downloads a new engine management programme then replugs into van to download data
Best way to explain re-mapping is eg. your van is 1999 2.8 Fiat,Pug or Citroen, mine is 2007 2.8 Fiat,Pug,Cit both engines are the same except everytime they do a new model they boast about more engine power, that power was there in 1999 it's just the software that turns the power down, all your doing is upgrading to a new programme.
By the way i got 50lb more torque with the bonus of 190bhp, as for costs i got mine for mates rates (heavy discount) but expect to pay about £300 if you use that webb link to the Shipley office he will quote you
Whole thing takes about 1hr
