Hello

Have not been on the site since last year - too busy playing with our first ever motorhome!!!   Been great

We have had our wings clipped this week - we have a leak in the water heater

We have at the moment Attwood Confort 3.  Been having a look around and we have read that a Truma, Malaga E is now the replacement for this

Anyone know if this is correct

Don't suppose anyone has a 14 year old Attwood living under their stairs ... have they?

Seriously any help you can give would be great

Many thanks

Try a caravan breakers they would probably have what you are looking for .

Or do a scout on ebay.

Hope this helps you let us all know how you get on.

Me again

Failing this - as we have no hot water!!!

We have been told that the ATtwood has been replaced with a Truma or Malaga E

Any idea where best to go for this and roughly the price please

In the year since we have had the motor home this is the first "big" thing to go and we are a bit lost

Many thanks

Hi,

I used to have an Aragon and also had a leak in the Confort. It was from a small hole near one of the inlet or outlet pipes.  I removed the entire unit and took it to a local car radiator repairer who silver soldered the hole for a few pounds.

I was told elsewhere that the tank is not stainless steel but just enammeled inside, so the repair may not last forever, but may be worth trying.

Thank you very much

Hi,

I've also just remembered that a guy called Derek Uzzell replaced the unit in his Aragon and I think he wrote an article about it and sent me a copy which I can't now find. He is quite active on the Motorhome section of another forum :

http://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/forums/

if you post your problem on there he might reply.

Alan
