Hi all ,i'm usually in the folding camper forum but just wandered if anyone could let me know of a good place to view stand alone awnings in or around the Birmingham area. I'm looking for something suitable for my camper but i need to see if the fixing would work.

Hi Kwaiki (i like your name it just sort of rolls off), right what kind of awning are you after? What kind of camper have you got? Take a look at Riversway web page, they got a sale on at the moment? But i must confess the reason i replied is that i actually got an almost new N.R. awning that we used twice last year when we had VW. T5 Trident, the curtains never been up, If your camper is of similar built it will fit no probs, i have been trying to sell it on the fre adverts here, but all i get is people saying yes i will have it and then no one turns up. its yours for a £100. Jacksons of Old Arley have quite a few awnings on show, not sure how many are stand-alone, but its probably worth phoning them to ask.

Thanks for the replies ,wineciccio i don't have a motorhome , i have a Dandy folding camper and the original awnings are very rare to find without buying the whole unit with them. This is why a lot of Dandy owners look to free standing awnings to fit to their units but i need to view some to see if they are compatible ,like how it can be fixed to the Dandy and the height as the Dandy has no awning rail or solid sides for suction fittings.

I know of some popular ones that other owners have used like the Movelite motordomes and Khyam excelsior but i wanted to see how these fit and if theres anything better or cheaper. I did see one on the web called the Sunncamp travel cabin which is quite cheap but i need to see how it can be fixed and has it got mesh 'fly' doors.

Well i'll keep looking any way thanks.
