anyone got any really good advice for products....

so many to choose from....am coming down on the side of something like 'glassplexin'.

motorhome is 8 yrs. old, fibreglass pretty oxidised now.  motorhome is also pretty tall, and difficult to polish and maintain in conventional way.

would like product that could be applied, presumably would need cutting back beforehand.

some say up to 12 months, some say 2 yrs., some say 5 yrs....now that would be good.

any advice or help would be really appreciated.

HI I WOULD USE TURTLE WAX ICE

It has a soft cut that should take out any ingrained dirt etc. also you wont have any streaks on the windows or the black trims .

It,s expensive but it is good.

I use a polish once a year containing carnauba.  I shampoo regularly with shampoo containing the same stuff.  It can be hugely expensive but I have found a great supplier on eBay at a very reasonable price.

This has worked for me for a number of years and has been very successful.  No elbow grease is required to buff up and the shampoo simply washes off with a hose.

Highly recommended - beats Mer, Autoglym, Turtle wax etc - and I've tried all of those in the past.

thanks guys for some of the comments.....unfortunately van lives only a few yards from the road....although pretty quiet, and gets quite mucky.

unfortunately, the rain here falls from the sky at pretty regular intervals, and brings all the dust, dirt, and black streaks down the rear and sides - I simply cannot safely, via steps and trestles, reach the roof to 'polish' regularly.  The drive slopes, which makes it worse, and access is limited on both sides....sorry to sound such a wimp, but if fell off, no-one would see me for a month!

looks like might have to re-think (presume the GRP stuff would not be advisable on the aluminium painted sides.  Have used Starbright marine cut and polish, supposed to be for boats, but the finish did not last a couple of months, and black streaks from the runner surrounding the windscreen still stained almost immediately.

what is the stuff with the glaze finish please....G10 Lunnie?

and im a valeter if you lived closer id give you some but to far away

I use it all over my autostratus inc paint work as its none abbrasive
