we have a carver 2 cascade heater in our van with a 9 litre tank, does anyone know roughly how long i need to have the heaeter on to heat the water for a quick shower, dont want to be wasting gas and 12v as havent a clue. not sure if it heats as it goes along or you have to heat the water in the tank

It doesn't work like a combi boilet it's more like the old immerser (sp)

On gas we can set the temp to what we want and it will heat up very quickly

On EHU Our manual advises 40mins and it heats the water to 70C

When showering : Its water on get wet, water off ,soap your self, water on rinse.You have plently of water to do this and even wash your hair. Being thrifty 2 people can have a shower from one tank.

Been away for a few weeks. I have just purchased copies of the manuals for the Carver 2 if you email me an address then I will send you a copy if you like.

I have been trying to work out how it works. I know when we were down in Swanage at May half term we heated it up on the electric in the morning and both had showers when we came off the beach late afternoon.

I am going to try it out now I have manuals. How did you get on with yours?
