I use non-slip matting for absolutely everything. Put on shelves, between plates etc, under the fan heater on the floor, under the carpets to reduce the amount they move, under anything left on the benches when travelling like our 'bit box' (actually one of the rectangular vanity cases) for all the bits and pieces we need to hand eg torch, umbrellas, keys, hand cleanser, etc. Always have a roll to hand.
Even use it at home to put under grandaughters car seat to make sure it does not move as our seats are quite slippy.

Sometimes a little rain must fall before you reach a rainbow.
The work will wait while you show the child the rainbow, but the rainbow won't wait while you finish the work.
