Hi can anyone adice

just bought our first motor home, but been on different sites to see what sort of TV I need and what I need to go with it because I read you cant just put a ordinary TV inside is this true

Hi Karen,

Welcome to the club!

You can put any TV in your home as long as you have room for it. Couple of things to consider though; Weight can be an issue. Power consumption is also a deciding factor - 12v or 240v. Personally I'd go for an LCD as they are very light and use little power.

Not forgetting the digital switchover that has started.

Hi Karen

Dont get conned into buying a status omnimax aerial as they are about as much use as a choclate fireguard, if you can't run to a DIY satellite dish, tripod & box £100ish ebay,just use a house aerial on a pole

Shop around for an LCD TV. DVD combi.

As you are a novice just remember, if it works at home it works in your van.
