Hi,
Just had a clearout of the garage in the 'van and on the back wall I noticed that some of the plastic covering had cracked where the wall meets the garage floor. Further investigation, and a poke with the key and small fragements of wood came out. When I pushed the wall panel there was a section of about 2ft x 2ft that felt "spungy". The rest of the back wall was solid.
I have not had the courage yet to strip off the plastic covering of the section as I fear what I may find!
If the wall panel has rotten what/how can I use to correct this or is it better to take it it to a 'van repairs shop.
As I see it:
1) Strip off all the plastic covering on the wall in the garage area (Where do I source new pastic covering from?)
2) Cut out rotten panel - gulp!
3) Fit new panel - what wood do I use/adhesive etc
The section is directly behind where the ladder is fixed to the back panel. There does not seem to be any water ingress and there has ever been any water in the garage.
The van is 10 years old though (McLouis 430).
Thanks for any advice.
Phil
