Hi All

Advice required for Ma and Pa who have a Trigano Tribute 2005 Fiat Ducato long wheelbase.

They are looking to purchase a tow bar mounted cycle rack.

Does anyone have any experience of these?

Advice and comments good and bad welcomed.

I have one that fits behind the tow ball so that i can have bike mounted on it while i pull a trailer.

i use one to carry a motorcycle it came from dave cooper they are superb engineers and you can still use a trailor or whatever with the rack monted.

you can find the people on the net they are very helpful.

have a look at the thule one from halfords ,iwas a bit sceptical when we bought ours but it does lock solid and stays where you put it , and if you reserve items from halfords online they will give you 10% off the price ,

Watch the maximun nose-weight (weight on the ball hitch) if you plan to put something like a scooter/motorcycle onto the towbar, most vehicles max. nose weight on the `ball is between 75 and 100 kg, depending on towbar manufacturer and the vehicle manufacturer. Exceed at you peril !

much better than the daft things that put wieght on the back windscreen and mark (don't care what they say) the edges of the tailgate I have had one for years that will carry 2 bikes with no other contact with the car and its been great only flaw is that on most hatchbacks you have to take the bikes off to lift the tailgate
